Career Academies UK is a fantastic charity that pairs business with education, preparing young people for the workforce. They assist students having the potential to get apprenticeships, jobs or attend university successfully, but perhaps lack the positive role models, networks and confidence attributed to their wealthier counterparts.

Much of what they do is to provide support through regular contact, inspiration and valuable information. The programme is structured around four pillars that work to help students develop necessary skills essential for success in the workplace:

• Workplace visits

• Mentoring

• Master classes instructed by employee volunteers

• Internships with local and national employers

Career Academies UK strives to be recognised as the top employability skills programme and the best practice model in education for employer engagement. They understood that creating a new charity website was vital to help meet their ambitious goals and recruited IE’s digital creatives to get to work.

IE’s project with Career Academies will consist of a rebranding and discovering stage, the implementation of a fresh digital strategy, the creating of a new website and an inspiring online volunteer management system. They seek to craft a website platform which delivers their programmes as efficiently and smoothly as possible for all their stakeholders.
